Understanding the Margin in Bet Settlement

The early settlement feature (Cashout) offered by these platforms includes a margin based on the implied probability of the live market.

When the house triggers the cash-out, the offered value is deducted by the operator's intermediation fee, which adjusts the odds against the user.

The **Fair Value** establishes direct mathematical equivalence between initial odds and live odds. When the bookmaker's cashout offer is lower than Fair Value, the difference corresponds to the cashout fee charged.

Mathematical Example of Retention

A stake of R$ 100.00 at odds of 2.00 (Potential Return: R$ 200.00).

During the event, the Live Odds drop to 1.50.

True Fair Value: R$ 200.00 / 1.50 = R$ 133.33

If the company offers R$ 125.00, the withholding tax is R$ 8.33 (6.25%).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Mathematically, direct acceptance of cash out by the bookmaker is disadvantageous due to margin retention. However, it can be evaluated if the priority is bankroll risk management in the face of extraordinary events in the game.
Fair Value is the exact payout amount for a bet, calculated by dividing the original potential return by the event's current live odds, without applying a withholding fee.
Manual hedging involves opening a position in the opposite direction in the live market (on a second trading platform), thereby eliminating the margin call that would occur upon automatic closure.
The temporary suspension occurs during decisive trades so that statistical models can recalculate live quotes in real time.
